We said good bye to Grandma this morning as she trekked back up to Massachusetts. We had a great visit and she accompanied us on vacation. We left Telluride, CO two days ago, where it was snowing and beautiful for us skiers. We came home to high 60s (today 72) and sun! PTB and I enjoyed a beautiful day on Town Lake walking with our friends A and L. A nice 4 mile loop and we were refreshed.
Earlier today we hung out at music class. PTB loves these classes, where she has learned to drum a beat and attempts to sing (or make noise that sounds like singing). She is in a class with kids her age, all of which remarkably interact with the music beyond my comprehension. If I wasn't there to see it, I would never believe that one year olds could create music. It's amazing to watch and listen to.
After a baby sign language workshop I attended last night, PTB and I started signs for common words I use with her. She actually has a bit of a vocabulary already, but now has another outlet to share her thoughts with me when she can't speak. Hopefully this approach will prevent a great deal of frustration when communication stumbles at times over the next year.
The day started beautifully with a 7:45am wake up and has ended in the same manner after a fun filled day. Thanks to PTB and all of her smiles, laughs, and good behavior in the grocery store after a 4 mile walk.
Until next time...

A quick Introduction
I am a SAHM living in Austin with lots to say and no one to really say it to. My husband travels a ton and unless he is here, has trouble following what is going on at home. He does a great job and we appreciate all of his efforts, just miss the time with him. Who knows, maybe he can keep tabs on us through this blog.
I have two female labs, and a one year old girl, PTB. We live in a great community and have a growing circle of friends. This is our 4th year here in Austin...we came from Massachusetts. My husband was once told, :You may not be Texan, but you got here as quickly as you could". I used to shudder at that quote (as I do not see myself as a Texan at all. Now I have a daughter who is born here, so I am warming up to the idea of not being a Masshole anymore.).
I love baseball (Go Yanks!). I enjoy running, skiing, and spending time with PTB. We have days full of activities that may prove to be fun to share (maybe not). I am not looking to wow anyone, just share some goings on here at home in Austin.
Thanks for reading!
